When being asked to cover events and red carpet affairs, just finding the right outfit is hard enough. Mixing and mingling, getting to know the vendors, not to mention the behind the scenes pictures are essential to covering event.
If your like myself, supporting community affairs and getting out to see youth projects means alot. We enable them to be the best version of themselves at all times. Sitting center stage and seeing their hard work layed out on the runway, "I live for it".
Ran into Tyauna Bailey, President of L.E.A.D. backstage.
L.E.A.D. stands for Leaders Encouraging Accepting and Developing which is an organization of students who use mentorship to become active leaders in the community, and use art for networking and professional development.
The students go off campus to elementary, middle, and High schools in Union County NC to do mentorship activities with them in order to get them
Through school and prepare them for college.
The STRUT Fundraiser Fashion Show was the L.E.A.D. organizations first networking and professional development event.
We had the pleasure of talking with Saran Fossett, AZIZA PE&CE Youth Programming Founder back stage and when I tell you, I could feel all the love and support following this phenomenal woman. This was a sold out show! The designers where very diverse and the choreography was very unique. Each collection had a different theme.
